WHO I AM

Design is design is design, the only difference is the medium. Whether you’re working on an identity system or a billboard advertisement, a multi-story condo high-rise or an office park, a new knife handle design or a new car, the same concepts and principles apply. I always keep this mantra in mind whether i’m working on a direct mail postcard or a 450 page book, whether the client is in Philadelphia, New York, or Orlando. Having been born in London and growing up in the US, I have a multicultural background that has influenced both my work and my life.

I am fascinated and incluenced by designs and art from various eras most notably European victorian, art nouveau and art deco typography and ornament, as well as traditional plate printing. On the other hand, modern architecture, typography and design, specifically American and Italian, captivate my attention. These seemingly conflicting styles create a mélange of modern stylings and ornamentation with traditional treatments, elements and appreciations and give me a versatile background, foundation and inspiration.

WHAT I’VE DONE

After leaving an art director position at Boxed Books, a publishing company in Lawrenceville NJ, I chased the freelancing dream and since have designed logos, websites, brochures and more for many businesses and design firms including Sudler & Hennessey, The Hal Lewis Group, Lincoln Financial, Cushman & Wakefield, The Print Center, and more.

I also own and run my own clothing company Aesthetic of Philadelphia. This independent label creates arresting graphics on t-shirts, sweatshirts, undies and more. The company actively supports local arts and music as an important staple of any major city.
